Huffington organizes her text thematically, e.g., by the media, Congress, the "War on Science," Iraq, torture, and immigration. Noting how "moral values" became a brand for the Right, she provides many highlighted boxes showing examples of Right inconsistencies. For all public libraries.

This book offers the reader an honest assesment of the Right-wing's political agenda, the Bush presidency and the collapse of America's moral standard throughout the world. The book chronicles the incompetence and hypocricy of the Right's domestic and foreign policies and shows how the Bush administration has consistently made blunders and lapses in judgement: build up to the war, energy policy, torture policy, health care, immigration, the lost war in Afghanistan, the handling of Katrina, attack on our civil libirties, etc. One thing that I admire the most is how she is just as honest and relentless to the Democrats in office who, for fear of being labeled 'unpatriotic', have not stood up to Bush and the Right. She also doesn't give her peers in the media a free ride also and accuses them of not holding our elected officials accountable and to generate ratings, would rather report on the latest on Hollywood celebrities and scadal. This is a good read for those who can be honest with the facts and not cemented by their own political ideology!!!

She offers ideas that are psycho. She wants to sit down and drink a cup of coffee with the terrorist. Oh, thats Senator Obama, no no no thats both of them. She has the audacity to hope that people will follow her ideas. She states in the book that the Reublican party has been hijacked by a lunatic fringe. She should maybe stare at her party and see how they have undermined this president as much as possible. Her ideas are 'naive'. She wants change but allows the same slime to be posted on her site very election. Thats not change we can believe in. No please forget the slime on the site, they are one in the same

'Total bias', two words to describe this book. To say the majority of society believes this stuff is fantasy. Apparently someone didn't do their homework.

Overview
With her trademark passion, intelligence, and devastating wit, Huffington Post editor in chief Arianna Huffington tackles the issues that are crucial to this year’s presidential election and, even more so, to the fate of the country.Huffington makes the case that America has been hijacked from within by a radical element—the “lunatic fringe” of the Right that has taken over the Republican Party. Despite holding views at odds with the majority of Americans, these zealots have given us an endless war in Iraq, a sputtering economy, a health care system on life support, a war on science ...
