Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Adult/High School-Russell has brilliantly adapted Richard Wagner's "Ring Cycle," making great use of layout to solve some of the problems inherent in transforming a three-dimensional production into two dimensions. He relies on images alone to carry the story through some of its most dramatic moments, with spectacular effect. The colors enhance and heighten the drama, adding mood and intensity to the art. Russell has achieved an extraordinarily accessible version of the four operas, one that teens with an interest in mythology and epic fantasy are sure to enjoy.-Jody Sharp, Harford County Public Library, MD Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.

    An accessible version

This is a beautifully drawn version of the operatic tale by Richard Wagner. For people who are not opera goers it makes the story available, and for fans of the operas it will provide further enjoyment.
