What People are saying about this

Poul Anderson
The Ringworld Engineers has all the imaginativeness, convincing details, and narrative vivacity that have come to be associated with the work of Larry Niven. Furthermore, it answers a lot of questions that have beeen tantalizing his readers for a long time. Most highly recommended!
Jack Williamson
Another fine masterpiece from a master of science fiction....The coming conflict of space has always been a central myth of science fiction, and Larry Niven's future world has made the most of it. The Ringworld itself is a dazzling notion, carrying the future elevation of technology as far as possible.

In my opinion, the best book in the Ringworld subseries. The Ringworld Engineers referred to in the original book several times make an appearance, all of the exhiliration and openness of the original book is there, and the fight we've all been waiting for: Protector vs. Kzin. Only 'Protector' (the book) is a better book in the Known Space series.
