Move over, Avril; there's a new gun in town. And even though Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams is a few years younger than her predecessor, she has a way bigger set of vocal pipes. Lavigne and Williams share a similar register, but Williams belts it out with way more control and authority. She may even be more of a respectable pop idol since her image isn't manufactured to be rebellious and angst-ridden; instead, Williams appears to be a genuinely sweet girl, bottling up a huge voice and a heart full of lost loves. All Music Guide - Jason Lymangrover
On 2008's Riot!, she fills the majority of her punk-pop tales with emo angst and declarations of boy woes. Contrived as this may sound, her lyrics feel authentic and representative of actual teenage puppy love, where a breakup feels like the end of the world. Filled with crossover potential, the songs are consistant and zippy with catchy hooks in the vein of Boys Like Girls fronted by a young Shirley Manson. Meanwhile, the production is sparkling and heavily compressed due to the golden hands of David Bendeth, but these ultra-clean sonics also tend to cramp up the band -- clouding the dynamics and turning the listening experience into a relatively risk-free one. When the group breaks away from the chugging guitar Fall Out Boy formula, they're at their best. Mid-song breakdowns and cathartic power ballads think "Don't Speak" showcase the band's maturity as musicians. More importantly, Williams shines through in these openings. In the last track, "Born for This," she takes a break from her love confessions and commands everyone to sing like it's the last song they will ever sing, making for a sentimental finale and a perfect closer for the live shows.

    Nice!

I really like Paramore because they're unique, cool, and their songs are all alike without all sounding the same. Hailey Williams has a great voice, and I love their songs. They are great performers (from own experience) and their concerts are AWESOME! I do not know what isn't to like about this band.

    Great!

I just started listening to Paramore yesterday and I'm addicted! I found the name from a Twilight fan site, since Paramore is going to be in the movie (Yay!) and I looked up the songs on the internet. I was surprised that I liked the sound because I usually hate music like this but Paramore was really unique and I was hooked. My favorite songs are "Hallelujah", "That's What You Get", and "Born For This"

    The Best Album of 2007!

After hearing &quot Pressure&quot back in 2005 and purchasing &quot All We Know Is Falling&quot , I couldn't wait for their next release. After hearing their first singles &quot Misery Business&quot and &quot Crushcrushcrush&quot , I knew I had to go out and purchase this album. RIOT! is the album Hayley Williams wants fans to remember them by, and that will happen, because the groups heart and soul is on this record. From upbeat &quot Misery Business&quot to the soft ballad of &quot We Are Broken&quot , there is no better album than RIOT! I recommend the tracks &quot Hallelujah&quot , &quot For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic&quot and &quot Let the Flames Begin&quot . All fast and AWESOME!

    Paramore is Amazing!

Paramore is an amazing band, and they create wonderful music. Hayley's voice gives me chills, and Josh is an amazing guitarist. Zac's drumming is unbelievable, and what would any of Paramore's songs be without their wonderful bassist, Jeremy? I highly recommend this CD to anyone. You'll love it. (:

    Awesome Band!

This is totally one of my most favorite bands of all time. I've seen them in concert, totally awesome. I have their CDs, amazing. Plus, if that weren't enough, for Twilight fans, Decode by Paramore is I believe is the first track on the Twilight Soundtrack. I don't care what those idiots that say they're horrible say, my opinion is that they're plain amazing. Give them a chance, along with the bands I recommend.
