    An Inspiring Call to Arms

    More of a manifesto than a manuscript, more inspirational than informational, Anna Anthropy's book Rise of the Videogame Zinesters really only wants one from thing from you and that is for you to make a video game.

    She doesn't care who you are, where you come from, or what you know. All she wants is for you to express yourself digitally, interactively. It's a convincing argument too, one that argues for inclusion and new perspectives.

    If video games are a new medium of expression, allowing us to convey ideas and feelings through a transference of experience, then it can only be helped by expanding the pool of creatives making those games.

    Anthropy argues for this expansion and shows how it is possible now with game-creation tools that don't require years of school or technical knowledge. She urges you with every sentence to practically put down the book and go make something yourself.

    Fascinating insights into the video game genre !!!

    If you are into the video game genre and all that it intalls,you must read this fascinating tome by Ann Anthropy who will guide you through the fascinating underbelly of the video game industry. Anthropy also offers fascinating solutions to a new digital video awakening with you at the helm creating ( not developing ) your own unique games. You must read this book!!!
