Coming home again to Keeneston! Definately a must read in Kathleen
Brooks' Bluegrass series!! Marshall Davies is now the sherriff - and
he just cannot help himself from picking on former model now vet Katelyn
Jacks. Could Marshall have a bit more competition then he can handle as
Katelyn and Ahmed get closer while she tends to a dog brutally mauled
and used in an international dog-fighting ring? I think this is the
best yet in the Bluegrass series! I absolutely loved this book! I
chuckled outloud well into the early hours of the morning as I devoured
this lastest installment. Poor Marshall LOL!!!

This is the story of Marshall the town sheriff. He is the new sheriff and has a one night stand with Katelyn, a spoiled rich girl model. Or so he thinks. He can't seem to get her off his mind, especially since she is the one to sneak out. She is the new veterinarian in town and has to see him often. Many weird things have been happening and throws them together. Many dogs have been found around town and they are badly injured. Katelyn comes to the rescue and saves the dogs. This story was very good and easy to follow along. Loved the story and did not want to put the book down. All my old favorite characters make an appearance. Definitely want to read the whole series, but can just read this only. Better if read in order.
My favorite character is Ahmed and hopes he finds love and gets his own book. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I have to say i am most disappointed. Ive read all her books and was extremely disappointed when i was reading this and how she portraits pit bulls. They are not dangerous dogs. Its people like her who paint this picture of these loveable dogs as monsters. I will never read another book she writes. Punish the deed not the breed. I have a pit bull and she gives nothing but love and kisses. Clearly this writer hasnt been educated or around pit bulls to know how loving and friendly nature they have. Us humans are the guys. We try to train them to kill, we are the bad guys. Go research oggy, wallace, hector, see how lovable and harmless they are!

I have really enjoyed all of the books in this series. I want to see Ahmed's story. Doesn't seem fair that he always has to give up the girl. Can't wait to read about everyone again.

Loved this addition to an already great series. I recommend the entire series of course, but this one will be fine as a stand alone read as well. The characters and their lives make for enjoyable fast paced page turning.

Great addition to the series, this one is probably my favorite so far.
These are both romantic and suspenseful, and clean enough that you
aren't ashamed to lend them to your family and friends. . I love the
meddling Rose sisters, but please tell me there is a story for Ahmed in
the future.

I always love going back for a visit in Keeneston. This book was very entertaining and let's you go back and see how some of the other characters are doing. I love Kathleen, she has become one of my favorite authors. Being from Kentucky, she does a great job of setting up that small town, country feel.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Another winner from Bluegrass country. It’s Marshall
Davies turn to fall under the spell of a strong beautiful woman.
Veterinarian Katelyn Jacks refuses to fall at the feet of the towns new
arrogant playboy sheriff but keeps finding herself in bed with him.
Ducking, dodging and avoiding him anyway she can only works so long in a
town the size of Keenstone, Kentucky. When trouble in the form of
organized dogfighting brings them together, Katelyn can’t resist the
pull any more than Marshall can. All our old friends are back helping
these two find each other, making this a complete and wonderful visit to
the Bluegrass country. Ms Brooks shares with us the horrible nature of
dogfighting without stomach turning graphics, and as always she brings
enough belly laughs and chuckles to balance the serious nature of the
crime they are investigating. Well done once again Kathleen Brooks.

Overview
Katelyn Jacks was used to being front and center as a model. But she never had to confront the Keeneston Grapevine! After retiring from the runway and returning to town to open a new animal clinic, Katelyn found that her life in the public eye was anything but over. While working hard to establish herself as the new ...
