Meet the Author

Kristabel Reed lives on the East Coast and loves to explore the steamier side of historical romance. "There are so many sexy situations that didn't just pop up in the 21st century and my goal is to burst the myth of the prim and proper debutante." She loves romances but historical ménages particularly which add an element of danger and discovery not seen in contemporaries. Historically speaking, unusual romantic connections put lives on the line-people were ostracized and some even put to the death. In the coming year, Kristabel is going to try her hand at mainstream historicals with an added element of eroticism, which she hopes won’t be too overt. She loves reading, watching old movies, and anything Cary Grant. And is always interested in talking about erotic romance, so drop her a line:; or Tweet her @kristabelreed; find her blog: kristabelreed.blogspot.com

    HOT!

It took me a while to realize that the amount of sex in this book is actually less than I thought. The characters are so well-formed and their attraction to each other so real that I was immediately engrossed in their story.

I do admit, Kane is my favorite, but then I've always been attracted to the rogues in Regency romances. But Brent is his own separate character who isn't lost among the threesome and who stands very solidly on his own. And Alix is a strong woman without being 21st century in her mannerisms.

    Sexy and Engrossing

I got completely caught up in Alexandria's life and the cat and mouse games she played with Brent and Kane.

Alexandria is a young widow who is enjoying her life and freedom when she meets Kane. Kane is a notorious rake and she wants to put his skills to the test. They enjoy each other until Kane becomes jealous of the attention Alexandria or Alix is paying to the young earl Brent. Then it becomes a game of who can outmatch the other. I really enjoyed the book.
