Many years ago, Llewellyn purchased the publishing rights to Regardie's classic book, The Golden Dawn. Since that time it has gone through four different bindings as well as corrections, additions, and new typesetting. We have kept it in print all this time.
Part of the reason for this is because I have always been fascinated by the Golden Dawn. One of the aspects which has kept me interested is the colorful magical tools, robes, and other ritual objects. But sometimes, no matter what source you investigated, you could find little or no information about all of these ritual items. Until now.
Chic and Sandra Tabatha Cicero have made an important contribution to the metaphysical world with their Ritual Use of Magical Tools (a revised and expanded version of part of what was previously published as Secrets of a Golden Dawn Temple). In it they explain the meanings of all of the tools used in the ceremonies. Then they add meditations, rituals, pathworkings and other information that bring the magical tools to life.
If you've ever seen a diagram of a Golden Dawn temple, you know that there are two pillars in it. They are briefly described in some of the ceremonies. But they can also be used for much more. The Ciceros show how you can become a third, or Middle Pillar, between the two, and how you can learn to balance the energies of the opposing forces of the pillars. This can help you learn to balance opposing forces in your life.
That's just one simple example. There is so much more, including a full explanation of how to do divinations using Geomancy. You will discover that this book will become an essential part of your personal library.
If you are interested in the Golden Dawn or its symbolism, or if you are just interested in adding new ideas to your own magical tradition, this book is a must!
