Jack Logan, a naïve country boy from North Carolina, joins the Army and becomes a U.S. Army Ranger. The Vietnam War is about to change his life forever. Like so many warriors of the past, he has learned to love the effects of war, the adrenaline rush, and the heat of battle. He rediscovered a love that he thought he lost along the way, while discovering a new love in the process. Now he's torn between the love of war and the love for two women. Who will he choose, the War, Rana or Maya?

Self Rating - River of Nine Dragons

At first, I wrote this novel in the hope that it would be a sort of therapy for myself. I completed it three-years ago and saved it to disk. Never letting anyone read it because it was private and personal. Then at the request of friends, Becky and Jerry Feathers with the promise not to laugh I sent them an email copy. Offering their insights, I took their suggestions to heart and made some revisions and finally submitted it for publication this past December. If not for their comments and encouragement, it might not have seen the light of day. Thank you Jerry and Becky for your endearing help.

The book is a simple story of Jack Logan experiences of falling in love, and finding a love interest he thought he had lost. Like some warriors of war from the beginning of time, he fell in love with the adrenaline rush, the thrill of the hunt, the dangerous times, and the foreboding times.

I would like to thank Barnes & Noble's for their participation in the distribution of this novel as well as their professionalism. I would also like to thank Trafford Publications for accepting my novel for publication. I regret that there is some typographical errors in the release of the book, and apologize to the reader personally for these errors. Hopefully these errors will be corrected in the re-issue of the novel coming soon.

Also coming in June is the second tour of Jack Logan's Vietnam experience entitled: 'Heavens Alter'

    Thank you, John Richardson
