Overview

River Prescott has everything she's ever wanted-except perhaps a man. The unconventional ranch owning artist is very certain she doesn't want a husband. But sometimes she can't help wishing for a lover; especially after her new neighbor trespasses and she gets a full frontal view of his assets.

Edge Grayson moves onto the rundown spread he's inherited, expecting to stay aloof from nearby town business. But between local artist River Prescott's determination to seduce him, and protecting her from a killer on the prowl, the ex-gunslinger is finding respectability a lot more dangerous than his former life of sin.

Editorial Reviews

InD'Tale Magazine - Danielle Hill
"What does an illegitimate ex-hired gun have to offer a lady?...Gem Sivad delivers a steamy western historical novel with River's Edge. The author teases the reader's senses with her descriptive writing... volcanic sexual tension...quirky and distinctive characters and an appealing narrative..."

Meet the Author

Gem Sivad submitted her first manuscript in 2008. That novel, Intimate Strangers, won the prestigious 2010 EPIC Award and founded her Eclipse Heat series, published by Ellora's Cave.

Although her first love remains American historical romance, she also writes a contemporary, erotic paranormal series about a modern-day healer named Miz.

Whether she's writing in a nineteenth century setting or in the paranormal world of witches and shifters, Gem's heroines are always resilient, resourceful, and smart and her heroes are both dangerous and hot!

Really enjoyed this fairly short (115 pages) story. It was out of the ordinary and querky enough to be entertaining and fun. No, it's nothing like real life but that is okay. There is enough to keep in grounded. If the author is anything like the female main character, there would always be a sense of energy around her. Someone I would enjoy picking her thoughts. I'm really unsure about rating for this one, there is open sexual conversation but is in no way erotic. I would let my teen read it :)
