I just finished reading another book by this author and found this one to be just as superb. "Rivers of Belief" is filled with twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. Just when I thought I knew what would happen next, the author took me down another path. The writing is good and I really liked the main characters. They made me wish that I had more friends like them. These are real people with a lot of layers and they meet the dangers posed by a serial rapist head-on. I was totally amazed to see who the rapist was, especially since he was right in front of me the whole time. I also liked how the story ended. I hope to see more books by this author. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This mystery/thriller about a serial rapist in a seaside resort is a good read. I found it difficult to put down and kept picking it back up to see what would happen next. The characters are multi-dimensional, their actions believable and the action is authentic. Two things I especially liked: 1) the loyalty between the three friends, Michael, Natasha and Levi, was inspiring. 2) The author tells readers at the start that the rapist is right under your nose, and almost dares you to figure out who he is. When the rapist was finally revealed I was shocked. But then I realized that the clues were there all along and the author definitely played fair and square. In fact, it was downright enjoyable to look back and see how deftly he inserted those clues. I should also mention that there’s graphic violence and sex in the book. Of course! It’s about a rapist. But the 3 good guys provide balance through their healthy attitudes toward sex and by the deep friendships they share. Finally, I really liked how the author tied things up at the end, and by the last page I felt a lump in my throat and wished the story didn’t have to end. Good job all around. Was this review helpful?
