Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Andrea Sears Andrews
The young scientist will find this book both interesting and fun. It clearly and simply informs the reader about rivers, ponds, and seashores. Easy experiments accompany the water facts as do highlighted "tid bits" about water tides, flow, and life. Hands on learning is the focus of this book and therefore reading must accompany doing. There are few materials needed for the experiments and the reader can take this book and explore independently if desired. Photographs and illustrations fill up every page with color and an invitation to discover nature. This book is part of the "Discovering Nature" series and is an appropriate tool in a younger classroom.
