Meet the Author

Laura Van Wormer began her publishing career as an independent bookseller in high school and college. After graduating from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University she joined Doubleday & Company as the secretary to the editor-in-chief and worked her way up to editor. She left Doubleday to pursue her on writing, supporting herself by writing tie-in books for the “Dallas” and “Knots Landing” television shows. From 1988 through 2010 Laura was a full-time novelist. In 2011 with a group of partners she founded an electronic publishing firm called Author & Company, LLC of which she is CEO.
