Chapter One

"Going out?" Squiggz asked Grandpa Lou and Nana.
"But I was hoping we could go on an adventure."

"Sorry," Grandpa said. "Not today."

"While we're gone, please stay inside," said Nana.
"There are plenty of snail-slime sandwiches in the fridge.
And I baked a batch of crunchy toe-jam cookies."

"I don't want to stay here," muttered Squiggz. "Hey!
Let's go on a real roller coaster."

Meet the Author

There was a time when Sharon Lamson had thirteen cats, two cockatiels, and one dog---not to mention four teenage children and one husband---all living together in relative peace and harmony. Then she came to her senses. All but five of the cats, the dog, and, of course, her loving husband have found new homes and are doing exceedingly well. This gives Sharon time to write, while still occasionally shooing a cat off her keyboard.

Bruce Barry, creator of Bug Rangers , has been drawing since he could pick up a pencil. He learned from his father at an early age the artistry that is his trademark. He loves reaching kids for Christ -- having become a Christian while designing a kid's worship center!
