Overview

Klatt (biomedical sciences, Florida State University College of Medicine) and Kumar (pathology, University of Chicago) provide a review of pathology. In keeping with the style used by the USMLE, the book includes single best answer questions, most with a clinical vignette, followed by a series of choices. This approach emphasizes an understanding of pathophysiologic mechanisms and manifestations of disease in a clinical context. Laboratory, radiology, and physical diagnostic findings are incorporated to emphasize clinicopathologic correlations, and illustrated with color and b&w images. This second edition contains new questions and a new final review chapter. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR

I have used this with my classmates to review courses before a test. Love it. The vignettes are great, and they really make you think. Occaisionally there will be an error, but they aren't very common. Hopefully the publisher takes note and fixes the errors.
