Robin & RJ Gibb: The Titanic Requiem

( 1 )

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide
Like Paul McCartney and Sting before him, the Bee Gees' Robin Gibb builds on a long and storied pop career by composing his first classical work, which commemorates the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Written in collaboration with his son, the actor and musician Robin-John 'RJ' Gibb, the epic, filmic requiem is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the RSVP Voices Choir, soloists Mario Frangoulis and 'The Choirgirl' Isabel Suckling, and features the voice of Gibb himself on one track. Its live premiere will take place on 10th April 2012, exactly 100 years to the day since the Titanic set sail.
