Annie Edwards was born deaf, but she's never let that define her. She's settling in as a freshman at Whitney Briggs University, loves her dorm, her roommate, her classes, but something feels as though it's missing--enter Blake Daniels. He's everything Annie is not--a rocker, a player, a college dropout. Her friends want to sleep with him, her brothers want to kill him, and all Annie wants is a chance to see where her heart takes her.

As the lead singer of 12 Deadly Sins, Blake has had his fair share of rock candy. But Annie has taken over his body, his mind, his heart--three things he's never lost control of before.

Often first love and first heartbreak go hand in hand.
Sometimes the thrill of one is worth risking the other.

It was a nice to finally get Annie's story.  It was interesting the things you wouldn't think about with dating a deaf person, but Blake had to overcome those things.  Annie and Blake hit it off from the start, literally being knocked off her feet by him.  Blake found Annie to be a shining light after the death of his brother and Annie found Blake to be the man who made her want to overcome her fears.  Both of them found growth with each other and, unfortunately for Blake, her brothers were ridiculous in their over-protectiveness of her.  The lengths they went to were a bit much and I was a little disappointed that there wasn't mention of them apologizing or saying that they should have gotten the whole story before charging in. Annie seemed to just let it go and I am not sure if I was in her shoes that I could have done that.  Blake was just a charming man trying to do the right thing and was pummeled down by his family and Olivia at all turns, except his brother Wyatt who did a great job standing by him and giving him much needed assistance.  Have enjoyed this whole series and this book didn't disappoint.

As always, loved this Addison Moore novel! She has perfected the new adult genre with this series. Funny, heart-wrenching and raw. I loved experiencing Annie's story, like I was right there along for the emotional ride. Worth every penny... ---J.K. James

Ehh...it was ok. Not one of the best books I've read. I found myself putting it down at times. Annie and Blake's relationship felt rushed and corny. It was a good plot though and had some humor. I will try reading other books by this author.
