Since there are seemingly hundreds of Uriah Heep collections on the market, this is one of many. There's nothing too special here, just the usual dramatic delivery, pre-Spinal Tap lyrical theatrics, and general Deep Purple-lite sound that has kept the band's catalog selling for 30 years. Oddly enough, the '80s songs are the catchiest and least dated stuff here, bringing to mind classic Boston on some tracks, and Hysteria-era Def Leppard on the opening "Blood Red Roses." This is not the place to start a Uriah Heep collection, but there is enough decent material here to keep the affair interesting -- despite the obvious hilarity of songs with titles like "Running All ...
