Meet the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

    Jules and Vance are AMAZING

You will LOVE Vance's story, particularly if he's in your top "HOT BUNCH" list from KA's Rock Chick series. He's passionate, strong, and determined. Jules, while set on retribution, is a drop-dead gorgeous girl who's led a rough life. The big kick in this story that makes Jules unique is that she's a little vigilante (oh and a virgin, which drives the guys wild). Well worth the read--Vance, Luke, Lee and Hector--hot, Hot, HOT!

I think this was my absolute favorite out of the whole series. I love how strong-willed Jules was, even after everything happened to her. I also loved that she was able to kick some a**!

This is a fun fast paced read.  I am really enjoying the series.  The main characters are likable and entertaining.  If you don't care for the f-word, be warned as it is dropped frequently throughout the story but it can be overlooked.  Start with the first in the series and take the crazy rock chick ride, you'll have a satisfying read.

I really enjoyed this book. The female character wasnt your typical damsel in distress which was a nice change. I would suggest reading the whole Rock Chick series.

Juliet "The Law" Lawler has had it up to here with drugs and drug dealers trying to get at her "kids". She works at the local shelter for runaways and does everything in her power to help them. When she loses one of her kids to drugs she goes off on a tear and starts messing with the local dealers. Until she gets the attention of a few dealers she thinks she has it under control. Vance Crowe has had a run in "The Law" and has made it his mission to make sure nothing happens to her out on the streets and with any one else. Vance has claimed her and Jules is fighting it with every ounce she has.

I've said it before and I will say it again....I absolutely adore Kristen Ashley! Nuff' said she can Rock anything she writes...whether it be Hot Macho Mountain Men to Hot Biker Boys to Hot Commandos! I don't think I could say one bad thing about any of her stories.

That is what I am talking about!
I have always loved Vance and Jules. This reread was a blast.  For me Jules is great: a bit messed up, quirky, and brave.  And Vance...
I love his utter hotness, foul mouth, and recognition and gratitude of a good thing when he finds it.

Vance is a player before Jules like most of the Hot Bunch. But with Vance, the psychology of his past is laid out and it make sense he
wouldn't know how to attach and was treated like an object so he treated women like that back.

Watching Vance and Jules fall is love is an utter delight. Having the whole crazy crew of this series plus adding in some new characters,
     wonderful!

    And Boo the cat...Grand.

Loved this one, even if you haven't read the series you will too.

Jules and Vance --- mmm.... mmm... mmm... This one is my favorite so far (most likely because Vance is so darn delicious and I see myself in Law. I love strong female characters, and Law is an action first, ask questions later kinda lady, but she has a sweet side as well. Vance on the other hand, comes in completely unemotional and cut off from the world, and Law tears apart the walls in a matter of seconds (without even meaning to). I really loved Nick, even though he is a very small supporting character, I think he really brings everything together in this book. All in all... another great book written by the amazing Kristen Ashley

HOME RUN and WORTH IT! Kristen Ashley hits the ball out of the

    HOME RUN and WORTH IT!

Kristen Ashley hits the ball out of the park with an incredibly written book from page one. The characters from main characters to the supporting ones are all multi-layered and everyone helps out in the telling of this story. Rock Chick Renegade is one of the books from her Rock Chick Series, all beautifully written and they all grab you and drag you into their world from the beginning.

Vance Crowe is a former bad boy, 100% alpha man who has done and seen a lot of things in his life and has been on both sides of the law. Juliet "Law" Lawler is a social worker who has a crusade to wipe all drug dealers, pushers, pimps, aka real bad people off the streets and to do it without going to jail in the process.

The first time they meet is electric and explosive and it just keeps ratcheting up notches as the story unfolds. Kristen Ashley weaves an incredible plot and subplot throughout the book and never falters. Vance is a deliciously handsome Native American who works for Nightingale Investigations and has had to be a bad boy and pushy from a young age. He is a recovering alcoholic that doesn't whine or bemoan that fact, instead he states it to Juliet and her Uncle Nick (her only living relative) during their first date (which Juliet tried to avoid having with him, at her Uncle's while watching Monday Night Football).

Juliet has never had friends because she is afraid to get close to people since they all die (her parents and brother and her Aunt). Except her Uncle Nick which is a godsend for Juliet, he is her rock and anchor. Her rite of passage is when she meets the Rock Chicks and others that are all involved with the Nightingale Investigations Team. You can't NOT be a rock chick if you are involved in any way with someone associated with Lee Nightingale.

Juliet takes everyone on a thrill-ride of fighting bad guys and she doesn't slow down. Vance realizes trying to slow her down is futile and thus he becomes part of her thrill ride. Then they both take us on their thrill ride as the really nasty boys try to kill Juliet's "kids" (the homeless ones that have grown on her) and then target Juliet. I won't tell you how it ends, that will be your thrill ride....

Definitely will be on the "go-to" read bookcase shelf and in "favorites" in Kindle....Miss Kristen I say HOME RUN and WORTH IT!

To me, Jules is a different kind of Rock Chick in this collectio

To me, Jules is a different kind of Rock Chick in this collection. All the other Rock Chick were either brought into a dangerous situation or stumbled upon it but Jules went out and created these dangerous situations for herself. Jules does this to keep drugs from getting in the hands of the kids she loves, since she is a social worker. All I can say is, probably not smart to rile up drug dealers but very noble. This gets her into some small trouble and Vance steps in to eliminate that small trouble.

Did I like this book? Absolutely! Kristen Ashley has never let me down. It is straight up drama at every turn, dangerous, good-deed doing bad boys saturate the pages, and hot, sexy scenes between Jules and Vance makes me love this book and continue loving the series. I really loved that KA added Luke into this book more because something about him just oozes sexiness and I can’t wait to read more about him.
