    Good story, HORRENDOUS editing

Mr Mayer delivers another fantastic story line for readers to consider and enjoy. However, the editing is atrocious. Despite the attraction of the bargain price, no payment is worth the tedium of dredging your your way through virtually EVERY page chocked with grammatical errors, capitalization and formatting errors, ad nauseum. So my question to Barnes and Noble is: did Bob scan it and send it to you with no editorial review by his publisher? And what is YOUR review/vetting/editing process? How could you let this ebook on line (as well as many others) with problems like this? Ebook reading should have a level of quality at least as good as its printed counterpart if you want customers to take ebooks seriously.

    Good good.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually put off other work that I really should've gotten done in order to read it. To tell the truth, I've had this book for about 2 or 3 years and put off reading it and put off reading it and put off reading it. Since eigth grade I've been reading the Area 51 series (same author) and the Atlantis series (same author, different penname); I've really enjoyed those books and I figured while I'm waiting for the next books in those series to come out, I'll read The Rock. I almost wasn't going to read it. As it turned out I wasn't able to put it down. Now I'm very glad I did. I thought that it might have started out a little slow, but that could've been due to my not wanting to read it. After I got into it a little more it was like, 'Whoa!' It was a lot more interesting and supprising than I'd anticipated. The paranoia in it got a little irrating but other than that I loved it. Anyway, now that I've rambled on forever, if you read this book I don't think that you will be disappointed (at least I hope not anyway).

    Great book

This reminded me a lot of Stargate. Some interesting concepts with lots of action and good characters.
