Meet the Author

Chris Rock grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and has been performing stand-up comedy for more than twelve years. Rock made his film debut in Beverly Hills Cops II; went on to star in CB4, New Jack City, and Boomerang, among others; and spent three years on Saturday Night Live. Nowadays, Rock can be seen in commercials for 1-800-COLLECT and is the voice of "Little Penny" in commercials for Nike. But he broke new ground with his coverage of the 1996 presidential campaign for Politically Incorrect and with his award-winning HBO specials, Chris Rock: Big-Ass Jokes and Bring the Pain, which led to his current late-night HBO show, The Chris Rock Show. His latest comedy album, Roll with the New, was released in 1997, and Rock continues to perform concerts each year to sold-out crowds throughout the country. He still lives in Brooklyn, New York.

    Too Funny Must Buy

Chris Rock book is hilarious. It is filled with things that teenagers can relate to. There are lots of things in this book that will have you bust out in laugher. Chris Rock includes in his book about why white people can't use the N word. This book has everthing the good old days, O.J, Clinton, and the problem with living in the ghetto. I would recommend this book to any one who loves to read comedy. I read a few pages to my friends and they went out and bought a copy for them selves. This book is perfect to read on a plane, bus, on when you have free time. And if you dont have the book yet I suggest you go out and buy it now.

    'Rock This!' by: Chris Rock

My first reaction/response to this book is that it is very intertaining and funny. I like this book alot!!! Yes the book 'Rock This!' hooked me. One part of the book that I liked alot is when the author Chris Rock talks about how white people and black people have completly different life-styles. And yes i thought that it was pretty realistic. The mood of the non-fiction novel is very funny and interjetic. I felt that this was created from page one, when Chris Rock explains what it means to be white or black. The major conflict that Chris Rock has in this book is that both whhite and black people are all somewhat racesist. Chris Rock style of writting this book is one that I do enjoy. He is always telling a joke and keeps the book flowing together at the same time. What Chris Rock does to create suspense or keep me reading the book was his laugh out loud jokes! Chris Rock first stars out with talking about all the problems in the world today a,d then then makes all fun and games with it! I rate this book a 10 out of 10. When I read this book it makes me feel happy because it is so comical and it keeps me laughing. I would recommend this book to everyone.

    Chris Rocks!

A very funny book from the modern day Richard Pryor. Chris Rock is easily the funniest man in show-biz today. He pulls no punches here. Some of the language may offend certain people, so beware though.

    It was really *%#@*@# funny!

This book was one of the funniest books I have ever read. It discusses topics like drug addiction, sex, and dating, and gives you advice in almost every sick way possible. I loved this book!!!
