This 25-track set of 1950s rockabilly and upbeat country shuffles is an extension of Ace's original LP issue with nine additional cuts added. Most of what is here is drawn from the vaults of Starday Records, a Texas label started by Jack Staines and Harold W. Daily, but there are also tracks compiled from Marshall E. Ellis' two Memphis labels, E&M and Erwin Records, and a single cut, Tommy Spurlin's "Hang Loose," from Florida-based Art Records.
