    A user-friendly guide

The number of books on Rolfing - Structural Integration has increased over the years. But none was in particular about how this approach of bodywork will be applicable for children and adolescents. That gap is filled now with this new publication. The author is an experienced practitioner of this method developed by Dr.Ida P.Rolf. Under many aspects and quite concrete he describes, how Rolfing - Structural Integration can help children and young people who developed postural problems with all consequences in form of pain, restricted movement and so on. Actually it makes sense, when the author postulates with a collection of examples that this kind of bodywork may also serve as a preventative medicine and that it supports the psycho-biological processes of maturation.

The reader gets a vivid impression, how this is achieved through hands-on work and movement education. Furthermore this user-friendly small pocket guide includes a pile of informations about developmental stages in childhood and adolescence, which are useful to know for parents seeking an appropriate treatment for their children. It also includes useful hints for the daily life.

The design of the book is not very trendy, but the content is solid and contains a magnitude of valuable information for lay persons as well as inspiration for professionals.
