Overview

Desire as deep and dark as the sea...danger as close as a heartbeat.

Hawaiian Heroes, Book 2

Daniel Ho'omalu's intimidating physique, tribal tattoos and mane of black braids frighten most women before they get close enough to discover he likes to play rough. Pile on his perilous vocation as one of a secret society of island guardians, and he's painfully aware he may never find a mate.

One look at Daniel, and Claire Hunter knows she's found the man of her sensual dreams. Without hesitation she sinks her teeth into the challenge of landing the big Hawaiian in her bed. But while he clearly wants her, he won't bite back.

Daniel is certain the beautiful haole is too young and innocent to handle his dark sexual needs. Despite their determination to ignore each other, the island casts its spell, and in one explosive night, Daniel learns that Claire is more than a match for him in every way.

When Daniel must leave her side and dive to the depths of the sea to foil a gang of drug smugglers, Claire trusts that their powerful bond will bring her lover back safely to her arms. But his vow of honor to protect his people could be the one thing that breaks her heart.

Warning: Big, hot, tattooed Hawaiian hero who likes it rough-in bed and on the beach. Going deep takes on a whole new meaning in this tropical heat wave.

Like his Hawaiian Heroe brother, Daniel is connected to the Hawa

Like his Hawaiian Heroe brother, Daniel is connected to the Hawaiian deities and has special powers. He can speak to the sea and to its creatures, and summon them when needed. He falls in lust for a blonde non-Islander. We watch as she fights both their sexual attraction and her admiration for his powers. Unfortunately, the book spends too much time talking about Daniel's rough sexual preferences, and his empty, past relationships. Hawaiian mythology of and the coolness of Daniel's powers are often lost between the sex scenes.

Bad Boy Hero ... Oh, yeah

Daniel is a bad boy, which is what makes him so smokin' hawt! He definitely doesn't want to be caught by a young tourist--and that makes this story so much fun! Loved watching the big Hawaiian fight hard to remain aloof when he was falling in lust with Clare, the heroine, a smart-mouth blond who's on the island for the wedding of Malia, the heroine in Book 1. The paranormal element is cool, too. Love the undersea scenes, and how Daniel communes with the sea life, from cute turtles to deadly sharks. The way the bad guys get it made me cringe, in a fun way. I was surprised to find Hawaii has gods and goddesses for all the facets of their beautiful islands, from volcanoes to the ocean. I not only took a fun, sexy trip to the island, I was immersed (pardon the pun) in island legends.
