I was pretty excited when I first heard about this when it was announced, and I'm pleased to say it's just about everything I'd hoped for. Every huge music event from the past 40 years - John Lennon's death, Nirvana's Nevermind, Woodstock, punk rock - is all in here, and it's great to read first-hand accounts of everything. Add in the fantastic feature stories from authors like Hunter S. Thompson, and you'll find hours of enjoyment out of this set. The software works wonderfully and is very user-friendly, which I appreciated. You can zoom in to get as much detail as you like out of the pages, which have been scanned at a very high resolution. If you find something you like you can print it out, as well. I really can't recommend the set more, and it's a great buy for any history or pop culture enthusiast.

I wasn't around 40 years ago when Rolling Stone started. I wasn't around when many of my favorite artists like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, etc were on the stage. To be able to read all the articles and see all the pictures of my favorite artists is amazing! Every picture, every article, every edition of Rolling Stone is in here. Say good-bye to all those stacks of dingy magazines, it's all right here! I can't think of a better Christmas present for a music lover.
