romance was fair, but the rest of the book was awful

This book was one of the worst Christian romance books I have read. The time period and setting for the book had such promise but the writing reminded me of a pre-teen's writing. The characters were not developed, just briefly touched on and then they were in love. It was almost laughable that a historical christian book used modern christian lingo that did not even exist in the early Christian times. The "accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior to be saved" felt out of place so that there was no cohesion between the time period and how the characters spoke. It was like taking a modern Christian church and abruptly placing it in the middle of Pompeii.

    Great Storyline

My main griep is the languge used. Using modern language was so distracting that I lost intrest in the bool. Very disapointed.
