    A Masterpiece!

This is, in several ways, a unique commentary. First, it is a goldmine for Greek students wanting technical exegesis. Second, it is extraorinarily lucid and, therefore, accessible to those with little or even no working knowledge of Greek. Third, the format is easy to manage. Finally, Dr. Schreiner interacts with of all the major commentaries on Romans. Some may be put off by Schreiner's Reformed theology, but Schreiner does not read his theology into the text. Of course, there are times when he could be accused of such (eg; Romans 9), but I think his exegesis is tight enough to refute such a charge. We all approach the text with certain presuppositions, but Schreiner does his best to deal with the text as it is before him. This is simply one of the finest commentaries available on Romans. I really hope that Baker Book House will continue to publish volumes in this series.
