Overview

Romantic Moments is a something of a departure for André Rieu, the Dutch violinist and conductor whose bestselling albums, such as "The Vienna I Love," have made him known throughout the world as the Waltz King. While there are a few waltzes here, this is not music for dancing -- unless you're swaying softly and holding your partner close. Rieu has chosen 15 intimate and tender classical selections by Mozart, Chopin, Schubert, Puccini, Dvorák, and others. His arrangements are soothing, and his violin sounds silky and sweet, making this recording the ideal accompaniment for a moonlit drive, a candlelit dinner, or any other romantic moment

One of my all time favorites. Takes me away to another world. Very passionate music in an era where passion seems lacking.
