Having read Joan Reeves's The Trouble With Love, the first book in her Texas One Night Stands series, I was very much looking forward to her second story in the series, Romeo and Judy Anne. For the title alone I would have picked up this book. I love it! And, fortunately, a great title delivers a great story. Judy Anne is a 29-year-old virgin. But that's not the point of the story. Rather it is indicative of her life in general, a life she feels--through too much responsibility--has passed her by. She decides a one-night-stand will remedy at least one aspect of her mundane existence. And perhaps it would have been as simple as that if Judy Anne's "Mr. Right" had not been the other half of that one nighter. Roman Carlisle is a wonderful hero, sophisticated, handsome, and charming. But what really engages the reader--aside from Roman's uber sexiness, ahem--is the warmth he exudes and his heartfelt pursuit of woman he wants but hasn't quite decided what that means. I can't recommend this story enough. The characterization is deep and the end as satisfying as the reader could hope for. I am now anxiously awaiting book 3, Forever Starts Tonight, of this very addictive series.

This is my first Joan Reeves book. I was utterly engrossed with her writing style. She is witty and funny, and I was left feeling the money I spent on this book was well spent. In fact,I just purchased my second book by this author. Thanks for the laughs and making my heart flutter here and there, Joan!
