if you need this for school it isn't the best you can get. for school if you read romeo and juliet, get the kind of book which translates the old english or you'll have a hard time. otherwise, i recommend that you just read the play.

I wanted the no fear translation of the play as seen online, not a bunch of commentary . The book is a total waste.

While reading the book Romeo and Juliet, it was helpful to explain the more difficult parts. If you don't really care about the deeper meanings of the play and are not reading it for class, it really is not worth it though.

Good Play. Good paper topics include: how romeo matures through the words of juliet, the use of light imagery, a comparision to other works of mine, and a comparision to something else, like a song or another book.

Romeo and Juliet was a good book i enjoyed reading it. I dont usually enjoy reading books but this one grabbed my attention and the movie was even better. But the movie and the book were a little different from eachother. My favorite part in the story is at the end when Juliet drinks the potion that makes her sleep and Romeo thinks shes dead and then Romeo drinks poison and he dies and when Juliet wakes up from her sleep she sees that Romeo is Dying from the poison he drank. Then after that juliet kills herself because she couldnt be without Romeo. I think that part is so sad and i cry everytime i hear it or see it. I wish it wouldnt of ended so sad though.

This tragic book of two lovers who give their lives for eachother is a sense of reality. It brings out the truth in us all.
