In 2001, the show "Romeo et Juliette, de la haine a l'amour" was released. Fast forward a few years, some new songs, and a partially new cast...and voila! "Romeo et Juliette, les enfants de Verone". Damien Sargue and Tom Ross return as Romeo and Tybalt respectively, and they're just as good on this album as they were on the original. Frederic Chanter, who sang the role of the Prince in the original version, returns as Friar Lawrence in this one, and his voice is just breathtaking! I have to say, the song "J'sais plus" is so much better this time around. The rest of the cast was amazing too! After all, they had some pretty big shoes to fill. As for the new songs, I especially like "Avoir 20 ans" and "On prie". My only regret is that I couldn't see it in Paris this past spring. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make do with the DVD of the original version! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
