Overview

Scorching sex: definitely on the menu. Hold the love, please...
Workaholic Carly Mason is caught between a rock and a hard place. The rock: an invitation for four days of sun and sand with her friends and their men. The hard place: "Mr. Invisible", who lusts after her with delicious abandon, doesn't exist-Carly invented him to keep her friends off her back about her lack of a love life.
Then she encounters a motorbike-riding Adonis whose image taunts her during the wee small hours. When fate drops him in her sights the next day, she grabs the opportunity to offer him a job. Pretend to be her Romeo, just for the duration of her getaway.
Exhausted from months negotiating his multi-million-dollar company's expansion, Marco Valente is more than tempted by Carly's outrageous proposal. If nothing else, it'll give him a temporary escape from his high-profile life-and his mother's serial-bride attitude.
Once on the island, Carly realizes her well-meaning friends have tricked her into a "relaxing" vacation. For the next four days and nights, it's just her and her hired Romeo. And a growing connection that definitely wasn't part of the contract...
Warning: Contains two unbelievably stubborn people undergoing serious cell phone withdrawal, and seriously scorching sex on the beach. Not responsible for reader's failure to apply sunblock before reading.

Meet the Author

In books, author Jane Beckenham discovered dreams and hope, stories that inspired in her a love of romance and happy ever after. Years later, after a blind date, Jane found her own true love and married him eleven months later. Life has been a series of “dreams” for Jane. Dreaming of learning to walk again after spending years in hospital. Dreaming of raising a family and subsequently flying to Russia to bring home her two adopted daughters. And of course, dreaming of writing. Writing has become Jane’s addiction—and it sure beats housework. You can contact Jane via her web site www.janebeckenham.com or email her at neiljane@ihug.co.nz

    Poorly written-don't bother

Very sporatic, didn't flow. Choppy and all over the place. Stopped reading 1/3 of the way through.

    UGH!

Im ok with reading a cheesy romance...but seriously...this book was so poorly written I couldn't even get through the first couple of chapters. Im upset that I spent money on this book that could've been spent on a much better book!

    No Juliet

As hard as I tried I could not muster any sympathy for the heroine. She was a self centered, demanding shrew. She entered into legal agreements, violated the terms and then resented the repercussions. Marco (Romeo) for the most part was portrayed realistically (i.e. Romantic hero)
wth the exception of his handling of the ex-girlfriend. Another issue was the unresolved situation with her family, will Marco take on that burden? The premise of this book was good, it could have been a great romance if not for the narcissistic heroine Carly.
