In a very short time, the world has changed exponentially. We are more connected than ever before, but many of us are so "plugged in" that we are disconnected from the moment at hand. We have access to more information than we can process, and we have unlimited choices that delude us, distract us, and derail us from our goals. In the 30-Second Solution, one of the nation's most respected life coaches, Ron Kardashian, shares his proven techniques that have helped thousands of people change their lives with tremendous results. Easily incorporated into any busy daily routine, the methods will immediately change the way people think, feel, and respond to decisions they make on a regular basis, not just in the short term, but for remainder of their lifetime.
Start with Your Cause:
What Gives You Purpose in Life?
Most people I talk to don't even know what a cause is, let alone have one. Yet it's easy to ascertain. Why are you alive? Are there people, places, or things that you live for? Is your reason for getting out of bed each morning to do something meaningful or to contribute? Or is it something more practical, like paying down the car payment? Unfortunately, most people don't have a cause. They live for the moment, indulging in whatever (or in some cases whoever) feels good, regardless of the consequences to themselves or others.
Your cause could be your children, your spouse, your parents, a loved one, or a creative passion, a technology, or a world advancement. I believe the reason most people contemplate suicide is that they have lost sight of their cause. I should know; I lived the first half of my life that way! But my whole life changed when I realized there was more to living my life than living for myself. Finding a cause I could care about—helping people live better lives physically, financially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—helped galvanize my efforts. A cause gave my life purpose, and I'd (still) be lost without it. My wife, Tia, and I wanted to do more for nonprofits, schools, and the destitute around the globe, so we started a nonprofit organization, the sole cause of which is to increase awareness of health and beautification. We are driven to make the world a better place because we have a cause.
As such, your cause will drive you. People with a cause do more because they are living outside their own heads, doing for others as much as—if not more than—they do for themselves. They have a reason to get up in the morning, a reason to save money, a reason to succeed, a reason to not just live, but thrive. Causes don't have to be political or spiritual, or for that matter even charitable. Examples of causes might include:
• To get a better job
• To explore the creativity of your youth
• To be more attractive to the opposite sex
• To live longer for your children and your partner
• To retire sooner
• To write a book
• To have more money
• To build a company to help the world
When you develop a cause and live for more than yourself, your own pleasure, or the moment, you are moving out of 'survival mode' and into 'revival mode.' Revival mode is a level of living that is spent enjoying a purpose-driven life, and that purpose will propel you.
What About Your Purpose?
We were all created for a specific purpose, and I believe that our main purpose in life is to be problem solvers. At some point in your life, you are going to be called upon to solve something. So my question for you is: how are you wired? I was the troublemaker in school. I talked in a loud voice, and my friends called me Big Mouth! Turns out, I'm now in the self-help profession. This is how I was 'bent,' and now I'm an international speaker, speaking on stages in front of audiences from small groups to upwards of tens of thousands of people. Doing television and radio, you have to have a big mouth and, as it turns out, I was perfectly wired for my purpose in life. How are you wired? Who are you at the core of your being?
When you believe in something at the core of your very being, when you have a cause so strong that it becomes the foundation of all you think, speak, and do, it cannot be moved or shaken; thus, the power to fulfill that cause is inevitable. Figuring out how you are bent and what your cause is serve as the first action steps to achieve your cause. This is where we get our uniqueness. I want you to be deliberate in making you the best YOU you can possibly be. And that's why you and your cause are synonymous. Knowing who you are and what your cause is gives you the ability to say, 'This is who I am, and if you don't agree with it, that's all right because I've made my peace with it, and no one, not even you, will deter me from my life's mission and the very cause for which I was created.'
Why do we need a cause and a purpose? Can't we just go through life consuming and spending and contributing to the problem? No, that's the opposite of why we're here! Know this: every single person reading this book was created for only one thing, and that was to solve a problem. That's why you're here today on planet Earth: you're here as a solution! Believe me, you're not a problem; you're the solution. Your existence is the very sign that our world needs something you have. In order to finish this thing called life, you're going to need a cause and a crystal-clear mission and vision. We will discuss vision toward the end of the book.

Within the last two years, two books had changed my life. One made me think and find who I truly am in essence/core
(Compatibility Code by Elizabeth George) and the other helped me discover my gifts, the ones God had created me for
(Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren).
But when I bought 30-second solution, chapter one (and just for that chapter it is worth buying that book!) I realized that
knowing who you are and your gifts (though essential to know) are just the beginning!
Kardashian's quote which summarizes the enlightenment I got through that book so far is
"People with a cause have a reason to get up in the morning, a reason to save money, a reason to succeed,
a reason to not just live, but thrive". This book is showing me how to achieve the latter thanks to a renewing of the mind,
which is the theme Kardashian develops throughout the book in a such powerful and simple manner!
A must read for anyone with a cause whether you consider it to be big or small!
Or anyone who wants to change their negative life around.

If you want positive change in your life, then buy this book. Ron Kardashian gives you step by step skills and tools to apply to your every day life so that you too can have the power to change your life for the better. His no nonsense approach is totally fresh and one that you can relate too. His own personal struggles make it clear that he understands what it takes to turn your own life around. Everything he says in this book makes sense to me. It truly touched a personal cord within my heart and deep in my soul. He has so many profound and inspirational quotes. My favorite "Will you hop like a toad or gallop like a horse"? I am meant to gallop like a horse, and that is what I choose to do! Thank you Ron for sharing your wisdom with us! I am truly grateful and appreciative of all that you do.
The 30 SECOND SOLUTION is a book that makes you take a second look at your life. In this powerfully, well-written book the author offers advice that will transform your body, business, relationships and life in just seconds at a time. Ron educates you how to channel into your emotions and intelligence for healthy living, looking beautiful and feeling good about you. The takeaway for me was first it only takes you 30 seconds to look into the mirror and speak positively of yourself and the rest is easy. That alone can stabilize your emotional and mental well-being. If you're thinking about investing in this book, Ron has definitely changed the game when it comes to health and fitness. The whole strategy behind 30 seconds at a time applies throughout and systematically. You'll start to see early on in the read that it takes the least amount of confidence to help you transform you. You'll be very satisfied with this book. And if you're anything like me when it comes to fitness it's "ready, set, go!"Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
