Admirers of Ronald Reagan will learn about his childhood during which his family moved frequently as his father changed jobs. Also important was participation in church activities with his mother. Reagan's careers as a lifeguard, radio announcer, movie star and finally as a politician are reported. Children will learn about growing up during World War I and the Great Depression when reading about Reagan's childhood. Since this book emphasizes Reagan's childhood, it does not go into detail about his career as Governor of California or as President of the United States.
