    Great Book!

I knew from the acknowledgment page that this is would be a great book - a practical book that would be written at the level of a, well, rookie teacher, while simultaneously full of useful knowledge and yet an easy read. I was not disappointed; this was one of my best purchases this year.

    Humurous and Helpful

I really appreciated this book addressing secondary teacher issues, since they are often overlooked in most 'teaching guides.' The author uses his humor to convey great points and he avoids patronizing the reader. I recommend this book to all first-time teachers. It's a great book to jumpstart your teaching career and help ease your nerves.

    A Valuable resource

This book really helped me prepare for my first year as a teacher. It mixed humor with practical advice, preparing me for situations I had never even considered on my own.
