Murray Pura is an artist who paints with words!

Rooted by Murray Pura has been such a blessing to me when I first read it. I could not get enough of the beauty the author has painted on the pages of this book. He is able to beautifully portray the gardens he has seen in his own life, but also the gardens in the Bible. I could see the beautiful colors of the flowers and trees, smell the blossoms, and taste the ripe tomatoes. The author also managed to show God’s love for us—it gave me the longing to experience more of His love. It also made me see again how much God loves me when I read about the dying God in the garden of Gethsemane.
Eden, En Gedi, Gethsemane, The Garden Tomb, and Second Eden – all these gardens have something to say to us Christians today. This book touches the hard things in life like sin and suffering, but it also offers hope and promise for the future. In this book, the author succeeds in showing some of the beauty, intense love and passion of our loving God through these gardens.
Murray Pura is an artist who paints with words—he creates the most beautiful sceneries. A book to get back to again and again… Highly recommended!
