He brought me her, Hadley Rivers, country music sensation and the one woman I couldn't have. I didn't want her but she had me completely roped in.

My job is to protect her, to keep her away from some psycho who wants her for himself. However, there's more to her story than I was led to believe. I promised to keep her safe and I won't back down . . . even if I have to die trying. I can't let him have her.

Roped In is definitely worth reading! A romantic suspense that keeps you hanging on till the end. Didn't want to put it down. L.P. Dover is an amazing writer that draws you into her stories. This one is complete with a sexy cowboy that you can't get enough of.

I really loved this book - very sexy romantic suspense. I really enjoyed the interplay between Blake and Hadley. Hadley is a country music star whose life is threatened. Blake is tasked, against his will, with keeping her safe. What follows leads to romance and a horrific crime. This book kept me engaged until the very last page. If you enjoy romantic suspense, you will love this book. Just a note for parents that this one is not for teens. Some of the language is course and the subject matter is very adult

I fell in love with L.P. Dover's writing when I read the Gloves Off Series with her seriously sexy MMA fighters :) And since than, I've been devouring pretty much any book of hers I can get my hands on :) So of course I dived into Roped In the first chance I got. And I was definitely not disappointed. In typical L.P. Dover style, this is an incredibly romantic and tender love story, spiced up with danger and action that will keep you on your toes most of the time. The characters are intriguing and I am pretty sure you will fall for Blake the moment you meet him ;) Blake is definitely hot with a capital H. With his rough cowboy looks, bad boy vibe and air of danger, he is simply irresistible. But the feature of his character I love the most is that when he falls for a woman, he falls hard and he will do anything in his power to protect her. Hadley is quite stubborn in her own right, so of course there is some bickering between the two characters. But she is also independent and strong and even in the face of danger she doesn't break, no matter how hurt or in despair she feels. At the same time she is extremely talented and feminine. So in a few words, she is Blake's perfect other half and probably the only woman who can tame the wild grey-eyed cowboy. In addition to the incredible chemistry between Blake and Hadley, the story is spiced up with unexpected twists and turns that will make your head spin. The suspense is on high, and let me tell you, no matter what you think, you are most probably wrong. When I found out who was the bad guy in the end I was completely shocked. I definitely didn't expect it. Although, when I think about it, it actually makes sense :) So if you are looking for a great romantic suspense story, you should definitely read Roped In. Even though, it is the second book in the Armed & Dangerous series, it is a complete standalone so you don't have to read anything else before you start this one :) And if you haven't read L.P. Dover so far, this is the perfect place to start :)

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, murder, jealousy, secrets, suspense, kidnapping, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first: No Limit (Armed & Dangerous #1) This is Hadley and Blake’s story. Someone is after Hadley and is not afraid to kill to get to her. When someone takes out a person close to her they put her in protective custody. She is sent to Blake. Blake does not want to babysit a spoiled rich girl. He makes living with him hard and Hadley decides she is not staying. Turns out Blake was wrong about Hadley and now wants to get to know her better. They form a friendship that could be more if only they both want more. Can Hadley convince Blake to give her a chance? Just when Hadley and Blake realizes there feelings for each other the threat over Hadley is gone. But what happens when the threat is not truly gone? Can Blake figure out who the real threat is before Hadley is gone forever? Or will he never get the chance to save her as she is already gone? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Roped In is book two in the Armed & Dangerous series by L.P. Dover. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Red Coat PR and by L.P. Dover. This is my first ever book by L.P. Dover and I will be definitely interested to read other work of hers. Most know I have a thing for sexy cowboys and that is the first thing that drew me to this book, the cover. This book is full of twists and turns and I would classify it as romantic suspense. Hadley Rivers is the newest on the rise country music star. She thinks nothing of performing in front of thousands of screaming fans. But along with the thrill of having her fans love her music comes the down side of being a celebrity. She has a stalker. Her father has been receiving threats on her life and he has hired her a body guard. In one night, her stalker changed her life when he breached her security. Hadley is sent away in protective custody until they can catch her attacker. So she is sent to Wyoming to stay with a rancher/semi retired under cover cop that still does jobs on the side. Even though Hadley doesn’t like having to run away and hide, she really does look forward to some peace and quiet away from her hectic life. “Players don’t fall in love. It would ruin their game.” Maybe you’re right. I’m not the kind of guy who can be tamed.” Blake Evans loves the peace and beauty of his Wyoming ranch. Working with horses full time is something he has always wanted to be able to do. Having a Hollywood music star expecting to be treated as such is something he does not want or need. He couldn’t have been more surprised, though, with the sort of person Hadley turned out to really be. She was down to earth, worked hard, and seemed to love the beauty of his ranch as much as he did. Blake did everything he could in the beginning to put her off, almost succeeding in running her off. But these two grew on each other, the chemistry evident from the start. “Life is about risks. I want to take this risk with you.” During the time Blake and Hadley are on the ranch together, feelings bloom between them. But Blake is a tough guy rancher/cop and Hadley is a celebrity. How could this ever work? “I don’t need someone who’s famous or rich to be by my side.” “Then what do you need?” “You.” This book is full of unexpected twists and turns, especially during the second half. I have to say I didn’t expect the way things went at all. And I loved the epilogue. It was perfect. I do have to admit that although I did love Hadley and Blake, and their relationship was definitely hot! I didn’t feel them as much as I wanted to. The best way I can describe it is they didn’t make me ‘sigh.’ With that being said, though, this was an excellent book full of surprises and sweet moments that kept me turning the pages. As I said before, it was my first book by this author and I definitely want to explore more of her work.

This was my first L.P. Dover book and I am now a huge fan. Roped In was full of action, drama, plot twists, and of course, romance. Poor Hadley's life is just falling apart and she has no idea what kind of mess she's in for. Blake wants nothing to do with a spoiled celebrity and resents the hell out of his new assignment. The sparks fly between these two from the get go and it is awesome. The barbs, pranks, and flirtations were so fun. However there was also great emotional depth to this story. I really felt for both Hadley and Blake, and Nick as well. This was an extremely well written romantic suspense. Dover now has a spot on my must read list.

Roped In is another fantastic story by L.P.Dover!!! I tell you what, this lady does not know how disappoint at all!!! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one since it was about a music star. A female music star. I loved that Roped In was told through two different POVs. Blake and Hadley. Hadley is a famous music star, but she is so down to earth and that is why everyone loves her. She doesn't let the fame go to her head. I adored her as a character because of that. Blake's specialty is being an undercover cop. He loved doing that while he takes care of his ranch. Boy oh boy. He didn't like Hadley at first, but that all changed. Once he saw who she was, he had to have her. He became so protective over her and I loved that. What I love about L.P.'s books is that the villain is usually someone you least suspect. By gosh, she fulled me with this one yet again. When I thought I had it figured out, another twist happens. L.P. knows how to weave a story together, and I love being able to read it and watch it all unfold. Roped In was an enthralling read that had me hooked from the very beginning. Once I started this gem, I didn't want to put it down. I couldn't. It was finished very, very quickly. It had to know how it was all gonna work out. I was definitely roped in with this story and I highly recommend it to everyone!!!

Ms. Dover has once again written a book that the reader will be able to immerse themselves in and get lost in. With each new book she releases her writing just keeps getting better. Blake has lived a life of violence as one of the best undercover cops there is in the Country. Now he's living in Wyoming and looking forward to a life of peace. That is until an old friend shows up asking for a favor and his help protecting someone. In comes country music sensation Hadley. Hadley is not what you think or at least she's not what Blake thinks she is. First impressions aren't always accurate and Blake's gonna find that out as he protects her from her mysterious stalker. Kudos on keeping us guessing until the end with the stalker I really didn't see that coming. Wow amazeballs!!!! I would probably classify this book as one of the most action packed books I've had the pleasure of reading in a long time. From the beginning to the end you will be taken on a romantic action packed ride full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. The characters that Ms. Dover write about are so realistic that you can't help but feel a connection to them. I absolutely loved this book and think that it might be one of her best books to date. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next for her readers.

In L.P. Dover’s Armed & Dangerous sequel we meet Hadley Rivers who is forced to go under the radar to avoid landing in the hands of a psychopath that won’t let up. In order to keep her safe, she is whisked off with no choice in the matter to Wyoming where she will be under the protection of the best undercover cop in the country, Blake Evans. And then all the fun begins. Blake immediately judges Hadley because she’s a country singer and thinks that she’s probably one of those celebs that is waited on hand and foot and doesn’t know how to really get her hands dirty and only cares about her. Hadley can tell from the get go that Blake doesn’t want her there and is purposely being nasty to her, but she doesn’t give in and decides to show Blake that she’s not what he thinks. The two go head to head and neither backs down. All the while fighting the intense sexual attraction to each other, but thinking that they can’t have the other for obvious reasons. The story is a fun story to read. I’m not big on the whole cowboy aspects of books, but this one definitely worked for me because it wasn’t all about a die-hard cowboy, but an undercover cop turned cowboy. What intrigued me the most was the protective custody underlining of the story and how two lives meet that are from completely different worlds. The stalker situation added a bit of action to a love story with some twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting at all. I thought I had it all figured out and then by the end I was just in shock because I was totally off base about who was stalking Hadley. It was quite genius, I wasn’t expecting such a twist in the story. Felt like something I would go to the movies to see. There are a lot of stories out today that mean to be action packed and fall flat, but this is one of the stories of L.P. Dover’s that delivers a bit more action than the rest of her stories. I would go as far as saying it had a bit more action in it than No Limit, the first book in the Armed & Dangerous series. I can’t wait for the next installment.

My heart has been stolen by a cowboy! I absolutely loved the story of Blake and Hadley! This book is full of laughter, stubbornness, suspense, and not to mention there is a great steam factor to it. This story made me laugh a lot. The characters banter between the two of them definitely made them memorable for me. It's easy to connect to characters when they are written so well and when you are able to feel their emotions. L.P. Dover did an amazing job creating this "cowboy" world for us to get lost in. The suspense definitely had me intrigued and I love a great "whodunit" and she is always able to deliver the best when it comes to writing romantic suspense. If you are looking for a new read, definitely let this story be the one and it will quickly become a favorite.

I honestly loved loved this book. There was so many different faucets to this book. The storyline flowed seamlessly never a lull in the action. There was so much romance, suspense, and roller coaster drama you could not put this book down. L. P. Dover has never written a book I didn't totally love. These characters were really well developed given three dimensional qualities. Loved The dynamics between Blake and Hadley. Although at the beginning I was saying a few bad words about Blake he initially was coming across as a jerk. Once I picked up this book I couldn't put it down from beginning to the end. I highly recommend any book she has written or especially anything in this series the one thing I like they are standalone books. I received a copy in exchange for a honest and unbiased opinion.

L.P. Dover is one of my favorite authors. I love all her books and this one is no different. I wasn't sure when I first started and saw that it was about a singer (yeah I don't read blurbs lol). I don't normally read books with singers or rock stars. Just not my thing. But this was completely different than any other singer book out there. It wasn't about a rich person getting what they want all the time. This had action to it. Crazy stalker stuff with guns being shot. Hot bodyguards with even hotter boyfriends. I was hooked as soon as Logan entered the picture. Hot men coming out of everywhere. And then there was Blake Evans. God I hated him at first but quickly fell in love with him after he got over himself. Hadley is a sweet girl. I loved that she was very independent and didn't depend on anyone for anything. She did for herself and was happy that way. She wasn't a snobby rich person and was more down to earth. These two are amazing together and I love that Evans will do anything for Hadley. My only thing about the whole relationship is how quickly it went from them bickering and disliking each other to making out and in a relationship. The build up for me was missing making them finally coming together not as breathtaking explosive. Other than this is was an amazing book and kept me guessing through the whole thing. Boy was I wrong with each of those guesses too. L.P. Dover really got me good towards the end. Would have never thought of that person. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Dover has most definitely done it again and NEVER disappoints her readers. Roped in has every element you would want in a story. I have read every book by her from the start and her stories keep getting better with each new story. Roped in was no different. Blake liked his quiet life in Wyoming and felt his skills were much better then being a babysitter to a Country music sensation but that seems to be where he had found himself. Hadley was living a lie when it came to her life in the press and she had trouble lurking in the shadows. One night she found herself in need of protection and Wyoming is where she was headed to hide from the world. Hadley was more than Blake expected and soon grew to love and appreciate her until he had to let her go. This story brought LOL moments, crying moments and that element of shock and surprise. People are never who you think they are as both Hadley and Blake found out, the hard way. L.P.Dover has mastered character development, and pull at your heart moments along side dark and dangerous twists you hardly ever see coming. I can't wait to see what the next story that comes from L.P. is, but I know I will be reading it.

Roped In by L.P. Dover 5 stars I loved this book. I couldn't put it down! I enjoyed the blend of danger, and intriguing twists. The heated tempers of both Blake and Hadley lead to some interesting moments. I laughed, was sad, and at times was holding my breath. The perfect blend of sexy and steamy. I could read this again!

I love LP Dover's writing and books and Roped In joins my shelf of her five star reads. The author really has a gift for writing a creative storyline that weaves great characters, suspense, intrigue, wit, love and romance into a well developed book. The book is about Hadley Rivers who is a young country star and Blake Evans an undercover cop working on a ranch he inherited. When Hadley's life is threatened she is sent into protective custody with him. He isn't interested in babysitting her and assumes she is a spoiled rich brat and is determined to break her like he would a wild mare. She isn't about to back down and has more depth than he suspected. Roped In is wonderful journey in them discovering each other, themselves and where the danger is coming from.

LP always amazes me with how she can bring out all sorts of emotions with her writing. I started out hating Blake-he was such a jerk to Hadley. He was rude and mean and my heart hurt for her sometimes with how he treated her. I loved that she did stand up for herself though and that I could see the transformation for Blake where he finally realized Hadley was more than what he initially thought. This book had so many different elements to it: passion, romance, suspense, humor. I did find times where it was a little predictable but I think when you become an avid reader you start to learn where a book is going a little more quickly. All in all this was a light, nice read that I was happy to receive as an ARC.

This is one of these books that grabs you from the moment you first start and doesn’t let go of you until you finish it. This is the 2nd book in the Armed and Dangerous series. In this book, it is about young country star Hadley Rivers & undercover agent Blake Evans. You have Hadley, who looks like she has it all –fame, fortune and a good looking boyfriend but really she is struggling with a stalker issue that is impacting her life in every way it matters. She can’t go anywhere, she is stressed and life is not what it appears. She needs protection and she needs it now. She ends up being sent away and guess where she is sent—To Wyoming and Blake but issue is- he doesn’t want her there. Blake is a man’s man. He works on his ranch, does everything and when he is needed by the law, goes undercover and does dangerous work without pretty much breaking a sweat. Blake is pretty hostile over being told he has to babysit a country singer – this is where he draws a line. Things between the two are not friendly to start off and there are fireworks for a little bit. But when the MC are attracted to each other, that is what happen. Also, they start to get ot know each other and they realize there is a real like for each other. Then while that is going on .Blake is trying to find out who is stalking Hadley. Oh their back and forth with each other was awesome. Loved the humor and the electric connection. Also, the chemistry was phenomenal and the story was great. The villain of the story is a whodunit –you will not get it until the end and that is the mystery. There were so many twists and turns and deceptions which keeps the reader hanging til the end. Also the supporting characters were great. I hope Tyla gets a story next- that girl is awesome and she was great as a supporting character but she deserves a story next. My Rating: 4.8 stars ***** ***A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for my honest review****

Madly in love with this grey-eyed cowboy! Who would've thought that a romance book with a cowboy and a country singer could be considered an opposites attract type romance!? This is just one of the many interesting details about Roped In, that leads me to believe LP Dover has another best selling novel on her hands! I was totally "roped in" and literally could not put it down! Blake and Hadley's story contained so much passion, attraction, humor, and suspense. I became fully engrossed in their love story while also remaining on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what would happen next! I don't think there are many more things sexier than the combination of a cowboy/bodyguard, and I loved reading about how protective he was of Hadley throughout the book. They are definitely one of my new favorite couples! I also loved the appearances of characters from her previous books, and I look forward to what's to come next! Well done!!!
