    Clever Cliffhanger

Brown's first novel starts with a bang (literally) and ends with a cliffhanger (not so literal). The prologue, barely more than a page, front and back, is exciting and grabs the reader's interest with ease. She makes the reader care about her chief characters before sending them to their possible doom. Her writing style is mature and moving and I must say that I would find myself hard pressed if I were to look for errors. I believe we will see many more good things from this young writer and hope to read them soon.
