I absolutely love this book. The simple, clear recipes she's formulated here are so valuable - and effective! I've tried a few and they have worked for me, friends and family. I was a little confused about the way it was organized within each chapter, but I would still recommend it wholeheartedly. If you've never made herbal medicine before or never read any books on how to prepare it, I would recommend James Green's "The Herbal Medicine Maker's Handbook: A Home Manual" for extremely detailed instructions on how to make various preparations. Rosemary definitely writes about how to make various medicines in an Appendix of the book, and it's useful for me since I am familiar with the process, but I wonder that complete beginners would need more info. Her use of herbs that are primarily grown in the United States/North America makes building an herbal library simple, cheaper and easier, which I really appreciate. There's nothing super "exotic" that you could not possibly find anywhere in her recipes. A great resource for sure! I keep it with my recipe books on a main counter in my kitchen for regular reference.

Awesome book! Very helpful I have loved all of Rosemary Gladstar's books that  have purchased so far. Affordable, common sense and easy to understand  especially for beginners in Natural alternatives.

Many useful recipes, a lot for were not for long time storage, but can still be made quite fast when needed. Not a lot of recipes for things if you are looking to re-sell your products, but super for household helps and medicines. Recipes with exact measurements is what I loved most about this book! A large section for each elderly, women and children. I highly recommend buying this book!

I was looking for something a little more mainstream. I never even heard of half the herbs mentioned in this book, let alone know where to buy them!
