    This is an excellent way to get started with this or any other language.

    It is all that they advertise. I started out with V3. My criticisim there was that it was "Culture Free" and for Arabic, that's not good. Now, with TOTALe, this version, they have made improvements. You will have access to Studio sessions with live native speakers and no more than 4 other learners. Also RS has a portal where native speakers can tie in with you using this software. They learn your language and you learn theirs.

    The pronounciation tool really works. It will show you exactly what sylable your pronounciation is failing in. For Arabic especially, learn to read and write too, this will help you with the pronounciation. Native speakers do understand me.

    It can be frustrating at first. My recommendation is to just go on, once you move along, it gets clearer and then you can go back and redo earlier lessons. I don't suggest "Perfection" before you move on. Just keep going and then backtrack later. Stick with it, spend some time every day if at all possible.
