Barnes & Noble - Dave Gil de Rubio
For the soundtrack to the sci-fi/teen TV drama Roswell, which details the romantic lives of adolescent extraterrestrials living in the New Mexico UFO hot spot -- the show's creators steered away from bubblegum pin-up acts in favor of music with a more alternative bent. Two versions of Dido's ethereal breakthrough hit, "Here with Me" (a.k.a. "Theme from Roswell") -- the original and the lush, orchestrated "Chillin' with the Family Mix" -- bookend a number of sensitive treatises on love. Among the many standouts are Zero 7's acoustic guitar-laced "Destiny," Sense Field's earnest, alt-folk ballad "Save Yourself," and Ivy's harmony-filled trip-hop "Edge of the Ocean ...

Two versions of Dido's ethereal breakthrough hit, "Here with Me" (a.k.a. Among the many standouts are Zero 7's acoustic guitar-laced "Destiny," Sense Field's earnest, alt-folk ballad "Save Yourself," and Ivy's harmony-filled trip-hop "Edge of the Ocean (Duotone Mix)." Elsewhere, domestically available cuts by Sheryl Crow, Travis, and Stereophonics sound right at home alongside import-only singles by Sarah McLachlan (Hybrid's electronica-soaked remix of "Fear") and Coldplay (the chiming "Brothers and Sisters"). No matter which solar system you reside in, there's nothing alien about the high quality of music featured on the soundtrack to this much-loved cult show.
All Music Guide - MacKenzie Wilson
The soundtrack to UPN's sci-fi teen drama Roswell features an assorted mix of modern rock, and fans should be pleased with the sultry selection. Dido's staple, "Here With Me," which is also the show's theme song, is included in an elegant "Chillin' w/the Family Mix." Several B-sides also grace the album; Coldplay's "Brothers & Sisters" is a solemn, wistful track with glimmering guitar riffs and the vibrant indie rock twinkle of Ash's "Shining Light" provides something inviting. Making their biggest debut since releasing Tonight & Forever in 2001, Sense Field contributes their track "Save Yourself" to the show. Shiri Appleby, who plays Liz, can be seen in the video for "Save Yourself," and Sense Field makes a cameo on the show. Additional tracks from Travis, Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan, and a cover version of "Blackbird" by experimentalists Doves are also highlighted .

Roswell is the coolest show on the planet!!!

I love the show Roswell. Roswell has some really cute, sweet, and romantic guys on the show. (espically Alex). My favorite couple in Roswell is Alex & Isabel. They were just a cute couple. And, I love the songs in this soundtrack. I love it!

Roswell rules, rocks, and lives on in our hearts

This CD is wonderful regardless of whether or not you are a fan of the show. The music is stylish and speaks to your soul, bringing you to a different mood. You can feel longing, joy, hope, and most of all love from not only the lyrics but the music itself. The performers on this CD are truly gifted, and these performances embody all that is Roswell. I truly hope that there will someday soon be a second CD that we can snatch up.

One of the best Alt-Rock collections out there !!

An excellent album to chill-out to. A friend who is a fan of Roswell had Sense Field's "Save Yourself" playing on his player when I walked in. By the time Sheryl Crow's "I Shall Believe" came around, I was sold and decided to go out and get the CD there and then. I have not regretted it! This CD has been permanently cued on my player for months now. The best of both the British alt rock (Coldplay, Travis, Stereophonics, Ash, Zero 7) as well as the "post trip-hop" (don't know how else to describe them) band Stateside, Ivy contribute some of the most hauntingly beautiful tracks here. An added bonus, the Dove's version of the Beatle's "Blackbird". Regardless if you're a Roswell fan or not, this Soundtrack is worth listening to. Go home, pour yourself a glass of wine, kick back and relax with this album in the background.

    I Also Recommend:

    I Love me some Roswell!

I just wanted to say I wish the show would have stayed on longer than 3 Seasons but it was a pleasure to watch. I'm actually watching the show again on Netflix. I really am enjoying the experience once again. I just love Max and Liz. I really thought the show was very well put together and the soundtrack is like icing on the cake. Wow, I really want more.

    Best CD Ever

Even though I'm a huge fan of the show, others will definitley enjoy this CD as much as I do. I love listening to the CD and remembering the scenes they were played in. I highly recommened this soundtrack!! The variety of artists is great and while some songs are heartfelt and sentimental others are fun and upbeat.

This Soundtrack is OUT OF THE WORLD.....

The long-awaited soundtrack is finally out, roswellians. It features cool tunes from Sheryl Crow to Zero 7 and of course Dido's Here With Me, also the theme song of Roswell. The tunes here will rock everyone and is great for chilling out with some friends. So regardless of whether you are a roswell fan or nor, you should go grab it(although i will kill you if you aren't a fan of it)
