Overview

The artist Georges Rouault (1871-1958) was one of the greatest expressionist painters of the twentieth century. A devout Christian, Rouault envisioned his work not as an end in itself but as a means to explore great human truths. With over seventy illustrations, this book not only illustrates the figurative paintings on which Rouault's reputation is based, but also his less well known but charming landscapes and still lifes, as well as a selection of his finest prints.

    This is a good book

    This book is very interesting. What makes this book great is that includes not only Rouault's most famous work, but also contains some of his less mentioned work and that help you to get familiar with even more of his great work......
