Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Mary Quattlebaum
The story is a simple and elegant rendition of an outing to the city and the structure of the book makes it memorable to child and parent. The first section details the trip to the city, with the car passing fields and trains and bridges; at the end, turn the book over and the narrative picks up again-but those pictures have been transformed into pictures of factories and cars and freeways passed on the return trip.

This is a book that stays with you. I still remember my elementary school librarian reading this book to us. I am so excited I found this book.

I have always loved this book, and, thanks to Barnes and Noble, so does my son. Such a creative journey that makes you want to read the book again and again, discovering something new each time. I have found that the adults in my office liked it as much as the kids!

A GREAT READ! GREAT GRAPHICS! THE TWO MAKE FOR A WONDERFUL LITTLE BOOK THAT WAS RECOMMENDED BY OUR GRAMMAR SCHOOL LIBRARIAN A MILLION YEARS AGO. IT DOESN'T LOOSE IT'S APPEAL.
