Rounding up the Gals, Vol. 1: Great Female Country

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Jason Birchmeier
Rounding Up the Gals, Vol. 1: Great Female Country examines the role of female performers in the history of country music. Since this first volume only runs the length of a single disc, it's not as comprehensive as you'd like it to be. In fact, it's rather spotty and haphazardly sequenced. However, there are some great performers here and some engaging performances. Some of the artists include Rosalie Allen, Ann Jones, Carolina Cotton, and Patsy Cline. Not as great as it could be.
