My husband and I travelled route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica recently. This book, with one other guidebook, was the best of all the books we had for the trip. Moore and Grauwels' guidebook traces the route, city by city and gives exact directions and mileage between cities. Also, it is easy to follow the guide, and every landmark is noted.
