Overview

Can a normal American girl really catch a prince?

When LA-born Calypso Kelly arrives at the exclusive all-girls British boarding school, St. Augustine's, she's determined to become popular. But when a photo of Calypso kissing England's heir to the throne, Prince Freddie, ends up in the tabloids, it will take quick thinking to save her reputation-and her relationship with the prince.

After the tabloid disaster, Calypso hopes her next term at St. Augustine's will be better. But nothing could be further from the truth. Her archenemy (and culprit of the tabloid disaster) Honey O'Hare is her new dorm mate and her invite to the Annual Euro Royal Bash is nonexistent. Will a flirtation with a hot new sports star from the boys' school ruin her chances with Prince Freddie? Calypso has some work to do if she wants to go from pumpkin to princess in time for the ball.

I don't know about you, but I frequently find teen fiction to be a bit saccarine and dumbed down, but this book has put paid to all my grivences - I love it - I love the plot, how the characters develop (when you think you know someone they turn around a surprise you - like real people!) and royal romance - how cool is that?!?

Yes, yes, yes, yes - Yes - this book will do nicely - I have been complaining recently that no one writes romantic books that aren't annoyingly slushy and are fun to read, and this fabulous book has completely turned me around - If you're considering reading it, do - if you aren't then you are foolish and must correct your wrong-headed ways natch dahlings! Ok - just lets get this out in the open - I LOVE this book - charming characters, a heartwarming pride and prejudice storyling, plus the added fun of nuns - go Calypso!!

Once I stared reading the book, I couldn't put it down! The characters are well developed, but the story is a bit confusing but overall it's worth your time! This book is mostly geared for teens (like me). The characters are in high school so I can relate to the characters and the book is also very neat since it comes with a little dictionary for British slang! :) I liked this book a lot and I would highly recommend this to a friend!

It was a really good book and I enjoyed reading it for the summer! I just wish their was a third book!! If you like the whole girl goes to boarding in a different country and then her life is filled with Lots and lots of drama then you'll like this book!

I enjoyed the book but towards the end i couldn't help bit feel the character was a little slow. I would have given it five stars if calypso had had more of a relationship with freddie. They hardly talk at all and they only kiss three times. And also feel that this book lacked any real vivid drama and romance.

It is very difficult to read a book where the girls are nothing but a bunch of boy focused whiners. I cant believe that at 14 all the think about is boys, drinking, smoking, and pretending to be something you are not to be popular. Maybe it gets better but I tried really hard to read the whole book but got to page 110 and had to quit because i couldnt take the boredom and stupid drama any longer. Not much of a plot.
