This book is absolutely excellent. It is a quick read and has an excellent story line. I do NOT like cursing or anything explicit in books or movies. I was so pleased that the story line is so interesting, the author did not have to depend on that kind of filth. This book (and all the rest of the ones in the Come by Chance Mail Order Brides series are all highly recommended.)

This was a free book by an author I didn't know and it was really good. Historical love stories are a favorite of mine and this did not disappoint! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series and anything else by this author! I highly recommend it.

A great Western Romance with "just something more". Looking at the book from an historical perspective is a true look at how single American women were treated back in the 1800's. Smart, strong women were a challenge to certain men (especially men who found it difficult to be seen as "real men") who were delinquents in their childish, brutish behavior. Educated women were a special target because they were an intllectual threat to many men who probably did not have even a 6th grade education. Strong women and the strong men who stand shoulder to shoulder with them are special people.

This book was free. If I could give it back I would. Not a book for adults. Very childish writing. Did not get past chapter one.

A great short story. I enjoyed from beginning to end, and was sorry to have it end.

I enjoyed the story. I liked the fact that there wasn't all the sex scenes.

The entire series is good. Funny with a good romantic twist.

a very enjoyable story

This is juvenile writing, appropriate more for young readers with one dimensional characters and a simple story line as one would expect in a short story. It reminds me of the stories they used to print in women's magazines. A Pleasant tale for a quick read.

Of pardner, little filly, I reckon, and any other piece of trite stereotypical western colloquium imaginable. Thank god it wasn't longer

The story line threw me for a loop. Felt like it was a rushed ending. Very different writting style. Not sure I liked it. Not sure I will read the rest.

I thought it was okay until the rape scene. Sorry, I don't need to read that kind of garbage, regardless of how historically accurate it might be.

The book leads you to believe the main characters are going to be wed then sticks one main character to be wed to a far from main character. It could have been a great book. The writer could have expanded the story a lot more.

The story line was not well developed. It started out good but went down hill pretty fast. I am glad it was free because i would have regretted paying money for this. I am not trying to be mean but i really didn't think it was well written.

Everybody who has given this book has either never really read a good one (no offense intended) or the author herself is giving the stars. I usually read the reviews first, I didn't with this one and I will live to regret it. If you value your time dont waste it on this one. My apologies to the author, maybe next time.

I hated the storyline. Although it was a complete story, it was rift with holes and unanswered questions. What did I hate? The fact that an evil, cruel criminal uses bullying tactics to get rich and he does so without suffering any consequences. The fact that Letty deserves more than she received in marrying a crook made me mad. The fact that the novel mentions the future of Second Chance, and then proceeds to list the future of many of characers and alluded to a myriad of untold stories! I wished I had not wasted my time on this novelette!
