Ruby is a copycat! It's the first day of school, and Ruby is new. When her classmate Angela wears a red bow in her hair, Ruby comes back from lunch wearing a red bow, too. When Angela wears a flowered dress, suddenly Ruby's wearing one, too. Fortunately, Ruby's teacher knows a better way to help Ruby fit in-by showing Ruby how much fun it is to be herself.

I read this book to my students each year as a way to discourage copy cat behavior! It is also a great way to celebrate individual differences. I reccommend this book to all teachers, parents, and young children.

I am now 23yrs old and my mother bought this book for me when I was 8 or 9yrs old. I enjoyed this book as a child and I came across it when I was searching for this book for a young cousin of mine and purchased it and she too loves it...a good funny book for the kids. :-)

'On Thursday morning, during sharing time, Angela modeled the flower girl dress that she wore at her sister's wedding. Ruby modeled her flower girl dress too, right after lunch.' In this story, 'Ruby the Copycat', by Peggy Rathman, Ruby keeps copying Angela and Angela does not like it. Also, Ruby is a new student in Angela's class. Everytime Angela is wearing a cute outfit Ruby hops home and puts on the same outfit as Angela. At the end Ruby decided that she should not copy people. This book make me laugh because it's such a great story. Any age could enjoy this funny book! Have fun reading!
