Wild Irish, Book Two

Sky Mitchell is hiding out in Baltimore, seeking peace and solitude while he struggles with a career decision. Lead singer of popular rock group The Universe, he's thinking of going it alone. Wandering into an Irish pub, he's ecstatic to discover the breakout single for his solo album-but the songwriter doesn't want to sell. One musical challenge later, not only does he win the song, but also a writing partner to complete the rest of the album.

Teagan Collins has never aspired to fame and fortune. She's content taking care of family, friends and neighbors, and singing in her family's pub. Working on an album with Sky tests her patience . . . and her libido. The hot rocker plays her body like a fine instrument, their desire deepening with each song they write.

But someone doesn't want Sky to go solo, and is repeatedly trying to sabotage the couple's efforts. Undaunted, Sky wants Teagan to join him onstage at his farewell concert to sing her original, Maybe Tomorrow.

If they make it through today.

    Fabulous book!

hen I finish a book with literally a smile on my face, it is a good sign. I really loved this sweet story. The famous rocker at the edge of kicking off his solo career + the folksy songwriter who simply plays in the family pub= MAGIC!

Fantastic scenes between these two with absolutely sizzling chemistry. Their debates and sniping at each other was just as hot as when they were kissing and so much more. Teagan is a 26 year old virgin and I don't think that I have ever read such erotic scenes without actual penetration. Mari Carr knows how to write erotica- Wow!

But it wasn't just the sizzling coming from the pages that I liked. There is a completely satisfying story here too. Sky is about to kick off his solo-career and has taken a month off to work on his new songs when he hears Teagan singing some of her original songs. She doesn't follow or think very highly of popular music so she blows him off when he offers to buy her song. After being pushed into a corner and losing a bet, Teagan ends up in the position of agreeing to work with Sky on the writing of ALL of his songs for the new album. From dodging paparazzi, nosy family members, and someone out with an evil agenda, there is plenty in this book to keep it exciting.

But at the core of it all is Sky & Teagan. Sky is truly a nice guy who just happened to be lucky enough to make it big. He hides who he truly is behind the blase attitude of his rock star persona, but he truly cares about people and especially Teagan. He realizes enough to know that his world is not conducive to a real, long-term relationships that Teagan deserves.

Another fantastic book to this series- I have a very good feeling that is going to be the trend with this series. I really love family-based series books!

And I have to share this quote because I loved it...
Sky looked at her with amusement.
"Do you know any famous singers from this decade?"

"Only one- Sky Mitchell, and he's a pain in the ass..."

    Book really hooks you in

I couldn't put this book down. It is the second in a 7 book series. If the rest of the series is as engaging as the first two the will all be a big hit. I really loved how you saw the heart of the two main characters and watch them grow both as individuals and as a couple. While the is sex it is really secondary to the developing love story between Sky and Ruby. They both learned so much from each other and gave as much as they took. I felt surround by the love of the whole family and think that growing up over an Irish pub in Baltimore might not be such a bad thing at all.
