Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Eddins

The animated chorus makes a strong contribution to "The Firefly"'s festive atmosphere. The orchestra, which plays fleetly under the direction of Jason Altieri, is smaller than what Friml would have used in the original production, and it takes some getting used to the smallish sound of this ensemble. This recording should be of strong interest to fans of early twentieth century operetta and American popular music of that period.
